The colors of April,

Os ares de anil,

The airs of indigo,

O mundo se abriu em flor.

The world opened up in bloom.

E pássaros mil,

And a thousand birds,

Nas flores de abril,

In the flowers of April,

Voando e fazendo amor.

Flying and making love.

O canto gentil

The gentle song

De quem bem te viu

Of those who saw you well,

Num pranto desolador.

In a desolate cry.

Não chora, me ouviu,

Don't cry, you heard me,

Que as cores de abril

Because the colors of April

Não querem saber de dor.

Don't want to know about pain.

Olha quanta beleza,

Look at how much beauty,

Tudo é pura visão

Everything is pure vision,

E a natureza transforma a vida em canção.

And nature transforms life into a song.
