Elevo os olhos para os montes

I lift up my eyes to the mountains

De onde me virá o socorro?

Where will my help come from?

O meu socorro vem do senhor

My help comes from the Lord

Que fez os céus e a terra

Who made the heavens and the earth

Não deixará vacilar o teu pé

Your foot will not slip

Aquele que te guarda não tosquenejará

The one who keeps you will not slumber

Eis que não tosquenejará

Behold, he will not slumber

Nem dormirá o guarda de Israel

Nor will the keeper of Israel sleep

O senhor é quem te guarda

The Lord is your keeper

O senhor é a tua sombra à tua direita

The Lord is your shade at your right hand

O sol não te molestará de dia, nem a lua, de noite

The sun will not strike you by day, nor the moon by night

O senhor te guardará de todo o mal

The Lord will keep you from all harm

Ele guardará a tua alma

He will watch over your soul

O senhor guardará tua entrada e a tua saída

The Lord will guard your coming and going
