Porfiai por entrar na porta estreita

Strive to enter through the narrow door

Por onde muitos se esforçam por passar

Where many strive to pass through

Mas nessa porta que é estreita de verdade

But in this door that is truly narrow

Só passarão os que hão de se salvar

Only those who are to be saved will pass

Mas ainda existe outra porta

Yet there is another door

Muito larga e de belo parecer

Very wide and of beautiful appearance

Passam por ela muita gente a todo instante

Many people pass through it at every moment

Mas vem o dia que irão se arrepender

But the day will come when they will repent

Porfiai por entrar na porta estreita

Strive to enter through the narrow door

Pois à vida esta porta voz conduz

For this door leads to life

A porta larga vai direto à perdição

The wide door leads straight to perdition
