Disse o Senhor,

The Lord said,

Liberte e o meu povo

Set free my people

À grande terra do Egito!

To the great land of Egypt!

Toda a praga, pestilência

All plagues, pestilence,

Mandarei à sua casa, a seu leito, às suas ruas

I will send to your house, your bed, your streets

Sobre a bebida e o pão

Upon the drink and bread

E o seu gado, as ovelhas e as reses morrerão

And your cattle, sheep, and herds shall die

Se eu não for obedecido, os egípcios sofrerão

If I am not obeyed, the Egyptians shall suffer

As pragas vão trazer terror, disse o Senhor!

The plagues will bring terror, said the Lord!

That's what I wanted

Eu mandarei trovões do céu

I will send thunder from the sky

Bolas de fogo choverão!

Fireballs will rain down!

Para vir cumprir esta missão

To fulfill this mission

Tal tarefa eu não queria

Such a task I did not desire

Eu mandarei granizo ardente

I will send burning hail

A cada campo e região!

To every field and region!

Destruction, pain, and ruin torment my being

Muitos inocentes sofrem

Many innocent ones suffer

Por orgulho você ter

Because of your pride

Eu mandarei os gafanhotos

I will send locusts

Tantos nunca ninguém viu

So many, never seen before

E cada folha cortarão

And they will cut every leaf

E todo verde comerão!

And eat up all that is green!
