Cristo nos deu uma fonte escondida

Christ gave us a hidden fountain

Que qualquer sede pode estancar

That can quench any thirst

E cujas águas repletas de vida

And whose waters, full of life

Will always abundantly satisfy us for free

Water will flow, living water will spring forth

Da fonte que abriu o Senhor, água correrá

From the fountain that the Lord opened, water will flow

Se todos quiserem beber, não se esgotará

If everyone wishes to drink, it will not run out

Milhares de milhares venham, sempre sairá

Thousands upon thousands may come, it will always flow

Há muitas fontes de gozo no mundo

There are many sources of joy in the world

Nelas os homens vão sempre beber

Men always go to drink from them

Mas são cisternas e poços imundos

But they are cisterns and filthy wells

Que águas vivas não podem conter

That cannot contain living waters

Já muitos homens gastaram dinheiro

Many men have spent money

Sem a fonte de Deus encontrar

Without finding God's fountain

Mas Jesus Cristo é nosso roteiro

But Jesus Christ is our guide

Que para a fonte, nos há de guiar

Who will lead us to the fountain
